xG Technology has been selected for the Innovation Showcase at CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando, Florida, March 22-24. xG was one of 25 industry-leading companies chosen out of a highly competitive field of over one hundred others. The selection was made by a panel of expert judges from companies that include Qualcomm, Vodafone, HTC, Sprint, and SK Telecom. It was announced by the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley (www.telecomcouncil.com), which sponsors the event. Winners were chosen based on Telecom Council criteria that considered technical innovation, product momentum, market viability, and management excellence.
Commenting on the selection, John Coleman, CEO of xG said, “We are honored to be recognized by the Telecom Council as a leading solutions provider in the growing cognitive networking market. When you consider that the judges come from the leading mobile providers and OEMs, who see the best the industry has to offer, it confirms that xG has created a unique solution that fills a real need in the marketplace. As a leader in cognitive mobile networks, we are committed to providing more mobile bandwidth and better connectivity for our customers, while eliminating spectrum costs via patented dynamic spectrum access technology that leverages unlicensed frequency bands.”
xG will present and demonstrate xMax — its award-winning carrier-class, cognitive cellular network solution — to CTIA attendees at the Innovation Showcase. The Showcase will be located at booth 4290 in the Emerging Technology Zone on the exhibit floor, a section where attendees can view innovations that wireless can bring to vertical markets which expand and impact our mobile lives.
