xG
Technology, Inc. recognized several years ago that
mobile VoIP would be the technology of the future, and
designed an Internet-based, mobile system from the
ground up with that in mind. The company`s xMax system
addressed the numerous technical hurdles involved with
VoIP in order to produce a network that delivers high
quality calling at a very low cost. |
xMax is a mobile VoIP and data system
operating in the license-free ISM 900MHz band (902-928MHz).
It is an end-to-end Internet Protocol (IP) system
infrastructure that includes a line of base stations, mobile
switching centers (MSC), handsets, and modems which
represents the first commercially available, fully mobile
VoIP network.
By focusing on reducing the cost of the cellular network
itself, xG Technology is a company that believes mobile VoIP
can provide significant savings to consumers and still be
profitable for carriers. The company’s approach has been to
develop a network that uses free spectrum instead of
licensed spectrum that can cost carriers billions of
dollars. This translates to lower costs that can be passed
on to the consumer.
xG has established a Mobile VoIP Showcase, where accredited
journalists, published analysts, and telecom professionals
have the opportunity to experience the quality of the xMax
mobile VoIP network for themselves. The Mobile VoIP Showcase
operates in the Fort Lauderdale, Florida area. Interested
parties are invited to contact xG at (954) 572-0395 to
schedule an appointment.
